Movie in the flight

It was a long long flight. I endured 16 hours.
Journey from London to Nottingham another 4 hours.
SOme of the folks are from Brisbane. Jesus! Brisbane to Brunei apparently, according to em is 8 hours. Now that is hardcore.

Thankfully my personal Tv was working fine.

I tried Speed Racer. I gave up after 15 minutes. Its the worst of the ingenious usefulness of the blue screen. It's all CGI. What abuse.

I watched Kung Fu Panda. It was incrediblily cute as much as it was boring. The story formula is just classic 70s HK fighting flick on the silver screen. You know, Jackie Chan, crane, monkey, snake style. you get the picture.

Then i turn to the Forbidden kingdom. Okay, fair enough. I never seen Jackie Chan pairing up with Jet Li before. But then, it was a disastrous movie.

Then played some retarded games, watched Just for laughs.

Finally I tune into Sparrow. (The only chinese movie in sky show)
I thought HK movies were long dead since,,,uh I dont know when, but the last good one was Invisible target.

Sparrow is about a miserable woman living with an old geezer. She owed the old man alot of kindness he had offered to her. I presume she is from a poor family and desperately seeking help. The movie never really explore character in depth.
Just like a sparrow, she desired to be free, she decided to seek help from four pickpockets,in which the leader was instantly captivated by her charm when she was caught in his vintage camera. It's not a dirty, blood slash HK thriller. It's a graceful and very playful like. Pleasant to watch.

The plot is fresh. The film potrayed HK as a rather romantic and very europe like.
It's something artistic like watching a French movie. Well honestly, I never watched a French movie. I don't know why I compared in that sense anyways.

Another thing that I decided to try Sparrow is because of Kelly Lin.
